180 Days in LA- Malibu

180 Days in LA - Point Dume

180 Days in LA - Point DumePacked a bag, called off work and headed to Point Dume in Malibu. The beach is big and quiet. I share it with a couple of surfers, a seal and some pelicans. Sea gulls fight over an inedible avocado seed from my lunch bag. Ominous signs indicating “private property” hang from staircases leading down the cliffside. The water is surprisingly warm and the current is powerful. The sky is grey and chilly and beautiful. I walk through the tidepools, finding starfish and crabs.
